En helg i Kuala Lumpur

Igar gick vi upp tidigt och akte till Petronas for att koa for gratisbiljetter till Skybridge. De ger bara ut 1280 biljetter varje dag och vi var tva av de lyckliga som fick. 🙂
Vi bestamde oss for att ta 13.45-turen, sa efter att vi fatt biljetterna gick vi och at frukost.
Vi hade hittat ett stalle dagen innan som serverade laxbagels sa det blev det till frukost, samt en iced mocha.
Tro nu inte att vi haller oss helt ifran den malaysiska maten. Vi var riktigt modiga vid lunchtid (tycker vi sjalva iaf), men det kommer senare i dagboken.
Efter att ha gatt runt i lite affarer och shoppat en kjol for 48 kr, samt en blus for ungefar samma, gick vi tillbaka till Petronas. Redan nar man narmar sig byggnaden kanner man kylan, vilket gor att man huttrar till lite. Att huttra till ar ingen vanliga foreteelse, utan det intraffar endast pa shoppingcenter samt i alla 7-eleven dit vi gar ibland for att slippa nya svettdroppar.
Ja, jag vet att det ar dagens i-landsproblem. 🙂
Iaf sa fick vi ga in pa utstallningen medan vi vantade pa var tur att aka upp till Skybridge. Petronas ar 281 ggr min langd foresten. Bra att veta. 🙂

Antligen var det varan tur att fa aka upp. 170 meter upp gick pa ca 41 sekunder i hissen. Man fick tryckutjamna ett par ggr under farden.

Sa var vi da dar. Ni som har sett filmen Entrapment vet ju hur det ser ut. Ni andra kan ju kolla pa mina foton jag lagt upp.
Haftig kansla var bara fornamnet. Vi fick tillbringa 10 minuter dar och sen var vi tyvarr tvungna att aka ner igen. Att det ar gratis tycker jag ar fantastiskt, fast de tjanar in en del pengar pa alla sovenirer de har nere i shoppen.

I anslutning till Petronas finns det ett enormt shoppingcenter pa 7 vaningar. Dar finns allt man kan tanka sig. Chanel, Armani, Levis, Diesel, Zara m.m.
Eftersom man lever pa backpackerbudget sa blev det en del provande och tittande, men det enda jag kopte var en T-shirt pa Diesel(inte sakert pa att det var akta) som efter 50% rabatt blev ca 35 Sek. Jag var mycket nojd med mit kop iaf. 🙂

Vi at lunch dar, vilkt bestod av en massa hopplock av mat som vi inte riktigt visste vad det var. Kyckling och ris kande vi igen iaf.
Gott var det nastan alltihopa och matta blev vi.

Vi traskade runt dar tills det blev morkt sa att vi kunde fa lite fina bilder pa ”Petronas by night”. Det ar sa otroligt vackert upplyst, sa man fick nastan gashud. Dessutom var det en fontan utanfor med en vattenshow.

Efter detta tog vi oss ner till Time Square Shoppingcenter dar vi gick pa VIP-bio som kostade 30 kr. Varsen skon fatolj att sitta i, men filten saknades. Det var verkligen kallt!
Tur att vi handlat lite under dagen sa att vi kunde kla pa oss mer.
Vi sag Be Cool med John Travolta, Uma Thurman m.fl. Smaskojjig film.
De har en riktigt berg-och dalbana inomhus pa det shoppingcentert. Har lagt upp bild pa det.

Efter det satte vi oss pa I-net cafe dar jag laddade upp en hiskelig massa bilder. Det tar lite tid att namnge dem, valja ut vilka bilder som ska laggas ut,forminska dem samt ladda upp dem.
Na iaf sa fick jag ordnat det, sa att jag kom ifatt lite.

Sen blev det somn och idag tog vi sovmorgon till kl 10.
Vi tog en taxi till Lake Garden, och gick in till Butterfly Park dar det fanns massor och massor med fjarilar. Jattemysigt att ga omkring och se en massa fjarilar flyga omkring oss. Tog en hel del foto pa bade fjarilar och vaxter, samt pa en orm, skorpioner m.m

Efter det rakade vi ut for varldens monsunregn nar vi skulle ga for att traffa Lai Kean, en tjej fran var Malaysiska fabrik.
Hon blev nagot forsenad eftersom hon ocksa rakat ut for regnet. Jag och A-M satte och pa en restaurang och tog en dricka sa lange.
Nar Lai Kean kom tog hon oss till Central Market, ett stalle med mycket hantverk och klader.
A-M hittade lite schyssta grejer.
Efter det vandrade vi till China Town, dar det saldes klockor, DVD’s, sportskor, klader, mer DVD’s, mer klockor.
Ja just det, handvaskor ocksa.
Jag kopte ett par sandaler for 8,50 RM vilket ar ca 15 kr.

Nu har vi fatt nog av shopping och storstan, sa vi akte hem for att forsoka komma underfund med var vi ska aka harnast. Aterkommer senare med info. 🙂

Saturday morning we went up early to que for tickets to Skybridge in Petronas Twin Towers.
They give out 1280 free tickets every day and we where two of the lucky ones. 🙂
We decided to take the 13.45-tour so we went to another place to eat breakfast. They had salmon there! Also drank a iced mocha. You might think that we are to much of cowards to try the Malaysian food, but we are taking it easy. We had some for lunch tho, and we feel proud of that. 🙂
After some shopping, all on sales, we went back to Petronas where we saw an exhibition on the Twin Towers.
The twin towers are 281 times my length btw. Important info. 🙂
After some waiting we finally went up 170 meters to the Skybridge. The ride took 41 seconds and you could feel the speed.

We got 10 minutes up there, and after that we had to go back down so others could see it also.
It’s kinda amazing that it’s for free, but then again they make a lot on the souvenires they sell downstairs.

There is a shoppingmall connected to Petronas and it’s huge! 7 floors of every store you can imagine. Chanel, Armani, Zara, Levis, Diesel (tho my friend that works at Diesel in NL says it’s fake).
Since we live on backpacking-budget there was a lot of trying on and looking at, but the only thing I bought was a t-shirt at Diesel(fake probably) for 20 RM.

After some walking around it was finally dark so we could get some nice pics of Petronas by night.
It really is amazing how they light it up. I got goosebumps from looking at them. 🙂

After that we went to Times Square Shoppingmall to watch a movie at the VIP-cinema.
We sat in real armchairs, very comfy, but we missed the blankets they had in Bangkok. It was freezing cold in there! Yes, we know we shouldnt complain about that. 🙂
We saw the movie Be Cool (how funny :p) with John Travolta and Uma Thurman. Was kinda amusing.
They also had a real rollercoaster in this shoppingmall. Inside! There is a picture uploaded on it.
After this we went to an i-netcafe where I uploaded lots and lots of pictures.

After some sleep and going up a bit later than usuall, we went to Lake Garden and the Butterfly Park.
It was filled with butterflies and a tropical heat surrounded us.
It was amazing to go around and seeing butterflies flying around you. Got a lot of pics uploaded from this park.

After this we went to meet Lai Kean, a girl from our MY factory. A monsunrain hit us and we got soaking wet. Lai Kean was trapped in the rain too, but when she arrived a bit later we went to the Central Market. They had a lot of handcraft-stuff, clothes and lots of other stuff. We also went to China Town where they sold watches, sportshoes, DVD’s, handbags, more DVD’s, more sportshoes and so on.
I bought a pair of sandals for 8,59 RM which is about 15 SEK.

We are kind off tired of shopping and the big city now, so we went home to try to figure out where to go now.
