¡Yo soy vegetariano y no como carne, pescado o pollo, por favor!

That´s the improvement for my spanish since last! The language is not that difficult to understand (if someone is talking slowly), though there´s much more problems to answer. The sentence above I have to use everyday -each time I go to a rest. Usally it´s no problem to get something, but often it´s more or less samesame… Rice, french fries, fried eggs, salad, beans -and now spices att all. Better up is the vegetarian restaurants, thay are always good!

Today it´s one month on the road. Been summiting Cotopaxi, the volcano in Ecuador. That was something of the hardest I ever done. Starting midnight at the refugio at 4800 meter after 4 hours relaxing. Had a terrible headache and was throwing up a little just before setting up.
We were 5 tourists with 2 guides. It was just Amber, an australian (John) and I that made it quite high. The weahter was terrible, windy, snowing, and cold…
200 meter from the summit Amber and John turned back with a guide cause they had problems with equipment and were tired.
Together with one of the guides, I continued summiting. The last 50 metres were the worst. For each step I made, I had to breath 2 times, and after 20 steps rest half a minute to really catch the breath!
After almost 6 hours of climbing, mostly in the dark, I reached the summit at 5897 meters!! It was so cold, had an layer of almost 1 cm ice all over me. Stayed there just for a picture… =)
From cotopaxi I got a cough that I still have, worse before, but better now!

For recovering, Amber and I went a couple of days to the beach in northern Ecuador, Atacames. It was nice, had a swim in the Pacific and too many juices!! Know how the reggaetone beats goes, indead!!!

Next was Greenland -or known as Colombia. An interresting country. The people are sooo nice and the country so lush and flourishing -amazing!
Went to inca-ruins in the south, San Augustin. Cool with tha very very old statues.
I also saw the capital, Bogotá. Fascinating how developed it was.
The country is NOT as dangerous as people think. Opposite, I felt very safe and had no problems what so ever. If you just stay on major routes, try to avoid night time travelling (hmm…) and stay out of Guerrilla territories -there´s is no problem!

I am in Peru now, took a couple of days just heading here. Had some problems antering here cause the colombian migration officers accidently tore my passport apart.

Now I am heading to Huaraz. According to lonelyplanet -Peru´s place number one on trekking and climbing!
