After a couple of lazy days in Langkawi we left the island for Penang. On the ferry to Penang we had company with the lovely girls Anette and Mal and shared taxi to a hostel in the main town Georgetown on Penang. It was maybe not the nicest hostel I’ve been staying at but it was cheap…
Georgetown is just a shithole town with no beaches but it should be easier to find cheap hostel here and instead go around the island by bus or by car.
Together with Mal and Anette we rent a car for a day and since it is left side traffic in Malysia it was little hard to stay on the left side of the road. It was also very interesting to see Mal’s skills in bargain. She lives in Aussie but she is born in Singapore and can speak Malay. So when the locals dont wanna understand that the price is to high she told the locals with a few sharp sentence in Malay, which price we are prepared to pay and finaly they lower the price.
The day was spending at the Fort Cornwallis there Johan and I had a fight….

…and I had to send him to prison.
We were visiting the Snake Temple, which was actually a fake since they promise lots of snakes whitin the temple crawling around you without any cages, but it wasn’t.

..and a few more places.
The time went very fast here in Penang and after a few days we had to go on to the next stop which is Cameron Highland.
Cheers
