We arrived at Edinburgh Airport 45 mins late, but that was soon forgotten when staff arrived to help us. At Arlanda we had been convinced that B would need a wheelchair, since it was very far to walk. Well, that was right it is far. We had a man help us for at least 30 mins, a Swedish airport could never top that. Upon arrival at Waverly Station in E, we faced a long flight of stairs, but we hardly had time to think about it before a nice man offered to carry our suitcases (c. 33 kilos…) A great start, even though it is cold and windy, and rainy at times.
After checking in we visited St Giles Cathedral, and later Mary King’s Close. The close is actually 4 excavated closes, that had been sealed for a very long time, since around the Plague in 1650. Very interesting. We are now experts at the Plague in Edinburgh.
Hoping for better weather tomorrow 🙂
