Back in Asia

The trip from Auckland to Bangkok went quite well. It was the new type of airplane with those personal screens so I could choose movies myself. I think I saw 5 movies in 12 hours. :p

At first in Bangkok I had a really hard time getting used to the heat again, but I had a room with A/C and spent most of my time there.
One day I went to MBK to try to fix my old camera. They told me to visit Canon in Bangkok so I did.
I am actually getting the camera fixed! My parents will take it over, since I got my new baby, the Ixus 700. 🙂
I also went to the movies at MBK and saw the new Harry Potter. It was quite good with lots of special effects.

On Saturday my colleague Tobbe came from Malaysia. He will be on vacation for about 2 weeks and decided to spend it with me. Always nice with company. 🙂
In the evening Sara, that I met in Doubtful Sound, NZ, came by. She was taking the flight home to NL that night so she only stayed for a little while to chat a bit.
Was so nice to meet her again.

On Monday we arranged VISA to Laos and in the evening we took the bus to Chang Mai. We arrived in the morning and checked in at the same place that A-M and I stayed in July, Top North Guesthouse. We took it quite easy, went to the night market in the evening after a nice dinner at a Italian restaurant.
Today we spent a lot of time by the pool and then got foot massage (I’m sorry to make you jealous, Nelly :p).

Tomorrow at 12 we will take a minivan to the border Thailand-Laos and then go on a boat-trip for two days on the Mekong-river before getting off in Luang Prabang. I heard so much nice things about Laos lately that I am really looking forward to visit it.
I will let you know how it is when I get the chance.

Hugs to you all!

By the way, I uploaded all the pictures from NZ now:
