First of all there are new photos in the album:

Second of all I got a new mobile number, +6610355344, but its only valid until 2nd of August. That is when we fly to Brisbane, Australia and I will get a new one there as soon as I can. 🙂
At the airport in Hanoi I talked to an Indian guy. He works for a Help Organization and he travels a lot to Cambodia, Vietnam and Africa.
Our line was the slowest one so it was nice to get a new acquaintance.
It was very interesting to listen to his stories, and he was funny as well. 🙂
When A-M and I entered the plane we felt like home. It was Thai Air and they are the ones we bought the Copenhagen/Auckland-tickets from. We got blankets, nice food and free drinks.
The trip was short, only 1,45 h and when coming to Bangkok we only had to wait for 15 minutes for the bus to Khaosan road.
We started talking to John from California. He is on his way to Cambodia to live there for 5 months on a school project.
It was his first time in Bangkok so we helped him out with a few tips for accommodation and what to see.
We checked in to Rambuttri Village In, a bit pricey with AC, but it was raining cats and dogs, so we had no energy to go looking for something else.
On Thursday we met John again and helped him book a ticket to Koh Samet. He wanted to go some Island in Thailand before going to Cambodia.
We looked for trips to Chang Mai and it was only 300 bath for bus. Sounded good. 🙂
Thursday-evening I spent on putting up some of the pictures from Vietnam. Hard work. :p
Friday we checked out from the hotel, took a taxi to MBK and sat down in the white armchairs at the Internet-place again (30 bath an hour).
Both me and A-M fixed the last pictures from Vietnam which took a few hours. We stressed back to get our big backpacks, and at 6 pm we went to the bus that would take us to Chang Mai. It was a double-decker and we ended up downstairs with two Canadian girls (from Montreal), Gen and Marian. Marian wasn’t feeling well so she slept the whole trip but Gen was very talkative so we talked to her for a few hours before falling asleep. She was ”only” 20 years, but was very mature in her way of thinking and it was very rewarding to talk to her.
At 6 in the morning we arrived in Chang Mai and we walked around a bit to try to find a place to stay. Johan told us about Top North hotel, but we thought it was a bit too expensive. Tho their guesthouse was a bit cheaper so we went there.
300 Bath for a double room with fan, and they have a swimming pool!
I was totally worn out after the bus-ride (and maybe some infection, not sure) so I stayed in the room the whole day. In the evening we had dinner and watched a movie at the guesthouse restaurant.
It’s a bit cooler here in the evenings, so I could wear a long sleeve-shirt!
How I missed that. 🙂
Today we rented bicycles and went to the other side of town. To rent a bike is 30 Bath a day. This way you can see more in less time and you can feel the wind against your face. 🙂
In the afternoon we chilled at the pool and now we will go and have some dinner.
Not much happening right now, but we are saving our energy and money for Australia. It will be sooo good to come to a more civilized country where I actually can understand what the packages says in the Supermarkets. 🙂
Hugs to you all!
