Efter elektronik-letandet gav vi oss in i Little Indias sma shoppinggator.

Knepigt, men sant…

Det var schysst utsikt vill jag lova. 🙂 Lagger upp nagra bilder i fotoalbumet.

Sentosas sandstrander ar alla konstgjorda men jattefina.

Idag ar det nast sista dagen for Filip i Malaysia.

English version:
Thursday evening we went to buy the tickets for Singapore.
It’s always an experience to go in to a big bus-terminal. There are lots of mini-booths where the people who sell tickets sit and reaches out their hands, screaming ”Miss, miss, where do you want to go?”
Hysterical and kind of frightening in a sort of funny way. :p

Friday was a calm day with lots of movies. That day was mostly a wait for the trip, which was at 23.30 from Puduraya bus-station.
It’s close by so we walked there.
The bus was not in the best condition, almost to the point that I was afraid that the gearbox would break, but at least it was a VIP, which meant 2+1 seats in a row.
A little more space than the express buses.
I slept on and off to the first passport-check, which was the Malaysian border. We got our stamps and then we where off to enter Singapore. No problems there either. 🙂

At 6.30 in the morning we arrived in Singapore city and then we had to find accommodation.
I read here on backpacking about a place called Ali’s Nest close to Little India, which should have decent prices, so we went there with the underground train.
Nobody wanted to open the door there, so we had to travel back to Little India and there we got a room at McKenzies.
The room cost 30 Singapore dollars, which is about 126 Sek.
It was a cosy hostel run by a family.
After sleeping a few hours, we went out in Little India to check prices on cameras for Filip’s father.
We went to Slim Lim Tower and Slim Lim Square and there where loads of shops…
After the tech-searching we went to the outdoor market in Little India.

We finished of the evening with a meal on an Indian restaurant.

Everybody says that Singapore is supposed to be so clean, but I didn’t experience that where we were at least.
But since there was signs all over the place saying there will be a 500 Singapore dollars fine for littering, I kept my litter safely in my hands until I found a trashcan.

On Sunday we checked out from the hostel and then we took the underground train to Harbor Front to go by Cable Car to Sentosa Island http://www.sentosa.com.sg/nite.htm . We where offered a free bus trip to Mt Faber which is 116 meters up so we could go all the way with cable car. It was the same price for the whole trip and going from Harbor Front. Strange but true…

It was some nice views I can tell you. 🙂
There are some photos in my photo album on the following address:

Sentosas beaches are all fake but looks really nice. The only thing I wonder about is why people want to swim in that water and looking out on about 50 big cargo ships…
Polluted water is the word…

I wasn’t that impressed with Sentosa, but then again I have a hard time forgetting about the beautiful Perhentian. I compare everything with that nowadays, which isn’t that good. Hard to beat. :p

It was a lot warmer in Singapore so Filip and I decided it was time to go home. We went to the bus station to buy tickets to Kl and strangely enough it was more than double the price to go back. :p
Says it all about Singapore…

We arrived in KL at 22.30 and then checked in to our favorite place, Red Dragon, where we got the last room they had.

Tomorrow is the last day for Filip here in Malaysia. He will then go by bus to Krabi in Thailand and I will be alone for the first time during this trip. I bet it will be OK.:)
I will probably stay at Red Dragon,so if any of you are on your way to KL and wanna share a room, give me a call. 😀
